Transduction of electrically driven single photons: Surface acoustic waves meet whispering gallery mode resonators

We are excited to have been awarded $450,000 from the Catalyst Strategic NZ–Korea Joint Research Partnerships programme for a three year project.

Together with our partners at Kyung Hee University in South Korea we are combining their single electron emitters with our whispering gallery mode resonators to tackle the problem of on-demand single photon sources in the telecom domain.

More on our project is on the QTA & DWC site.
